Colorful Spring - Greens & Cauliflower

Colorful Spring
Greens & Cauliflower

Chard is a member of the beet family. Chard stalks have a crisp, delicate, celery-like flavor. The leaves are often used like spinach and when left raw, impart a beet-like flavor. The leaves of chard can be substituted for spinach in most recipes, while the stems work well in recipes calling for asparagus.

Salad Savory is also called Flowering Kale, Ornamental Kale, Flowering Cabbage, and Flowering Cole.  It is a member of the cabbage family and a close relative of kale. It is often used in place of green and red cabbage. Grown in loosely packed heads of frilly green, white and reddish-purple leaves, Salad Savoy is as tender as green cabbage and milder in flavor.
